| Dear
Steven:
On behalf of Anne Ford and the Board of Directors of the National
Center for Learning Disabilities, I want to thank you for
your generous contribution of a three-hour cruise for 280
around New York Harbor on The Star of New York for
our fundraising Benefit on April 6, 2000. This year's event
is shaping up to be our best ever, so we are especially delighted
to have you on board.
Your support means so much to us and for the thousands of
children and parents we serve - it helps us "be there"
for them as their first and most powerful advocate. You also
help us reach out to teachers and educators who are just as
frustrated as the children they can't seem to reach. Through
NCLD's workshops and seminars they're learning to recognize
learning disabilities and to employ strategies with which
others have found success.
I will be writing to you again after the Benefit to send you
the souvenir program with Steven P. Salsberg, Esq./Queen of
Hearts Cruises Inc. listed as one of our supporters.
Thanks again
for you help.
Sincerely,
John Thompson

| Dear
Mr. Salsberg
I am writing to extend
thanks of the entire community of the CUNY School of Law for
your generousity in donating the use of your paddlewheel boat,
"The Star," to the CUNY School of Law for our reunion
on October 23, 1999.
We are deeply grateful
that you charged only the cost of food for the event and donated
all other costs, including but not limited to, taking the
boat out and the services of the DJ.
Everyone enjoyed the event
tremendously, which would have been impossible without your
kindness.
Sincerely yours,

| Dear
Steve:
As usual,
I am delayed in my thanks. But they are heartfelt. You have
been absolutely wonderful in your support of the Park and
our efforts. This latest opportunity you gave us to use The
Star during the Op-Sail Week was not only totally unexpected
- it was fantastic. As you could tell by the turn-out, there
were so many people who had been looking for a way to get
out on the water and share some of the excitement - and you
made it possible. We - both the Alliance and Friends of Hudson
River Park -- we thrilled to be able to take your offer and
make it ours. And what a great response!! Not only in taking
up the invitations, but in the thanks we received afterwards.
Everyone seemed to have a terrific time.
So for the
record, many, many thanks. You and Debby and Lisa and all
those who helped make the day such a success are terrific.
Now, I look
forward to the Second Annual Hudson River Park Day, scheduled
for Sunday, September 24, to repeat the great time you gave
so many people last year. We will be in touch in the coming
weeks.
Also, if there
are ways in which the Friends of the Alliance can assist you
in your endeavors, please do not hesitate to call me.
Thanks again.
And please convey my thanks to your graet staff.
Sincerely,
Albert K. Butzel

| Dear
Mandy,
This short note is sent to thank you and your staff for all
their help with the cruise on Friday, July 14th. In spite
of the weather scaring off many paid and expectant customers,
those that did make the trip expressed much pleasure with
the evening. I'l sure the word of mouth will be fruitful and
I'm already receiving inquiries regarding my next event.
The staff's professionalism,
courtesy and willingness to help were easily evident and greatly
appreciated. Special thanks should go out to Metal, who's
relaxed and confident demeanor, transposed itself on my associatesand
myself and allowed us to proceed with our evening, sans excess
anxiety. She should be made aware of our deep gratitude.
I hope we will be able
to produce events collaboratively in the future. Please be
sure that a special thank you is made to Steven on our behalf.
Without his benevolence our evening would not have been possible,
and of course a thousand thanks to you for providing me with
all i needed and desired throughout the process. It is greatly
appreciated.
Respectfully yours,
Brian O.F. Peterkin

Celebration
Sail
There are
more ways than Op-Sail to enjoy New York's waterways. UJA
- Federation's Young Leadership Division celebrated the beginning
of summer aboard the Queen of Hearts, as 400 young professionals
enjoyed a sundet cruise through the harbor and around the
Statue of Liberty. The evening, said David Frankel, director
of the division, was a celebration -- not only of summer but
of another record breaking year: The Young Leadership and
Young Trade divisions raised more than $2 million from 2,500
contributors. "our contributors," said Frankel,
"understand all the good we can do with the tzedakah
they contribute. We have much to celebrate."

Dear
Steven,
On behalf of the children of Camp Simcha, thank you so much
for the wonderful cruises on the Star of Palm Beach on July
9th and August 22nd. The July 9th trip, which you gave to
us at a discounted rate, went very smooth and the girls
had a great time. We are very appreciative of the donation
of the cruise and the DJ, which you had Debbie Hayes arrange
for August 22nd. Although we had some difficulty arranging
a mutually accomodating time, the boys really, "rocked
the boat!"
Camp Simcha, the
foremost kosher camp for children with cancer and other
hematological illnesses, is one of the many programs of
Chai Lifeline. Chai Lifeline is a truly unique
organization, having been the pioneer in extending support
services with cancer and other life-threatening illnesses,
and thier families. Camp Simcha gives these incredible
children hope and courage to continue their fight against
their sicknesses.
Thank you for helping
us give the children of Camp Simcha a wonderful summer.
Sincerely,
Shaindy Lowenthal

Dear
Ms. Hayes,
On behalf of Children of Chernobyl, please accept our heartfelt
thanks for your most generous gift of a Hudson River Cruise
to our Children at Heart Celebrity/Fantasy Auction.
We thank you not only on behalf of CCOC but, more importantly,
in the names of the Chernobyl Children whose lives your
support will help save.
Your gift plays an important role in helping us to continue
rescuing the many children still trapped in contaminated
areas of Chernobyl. We are confident that your gift will
greatly contribute to the success of the Children at
Heart Celebrity/Fantasy Auction on June 12th, at Sotheby's.
We are happy to report that our most recent evacuation flight
arrived on March 2nd, with 21 additional children. Nearly
2,000 children are now receiving life saving medical treatment
in Israel.
Your generous support is greatly appreciated.
Sincerely,

Dear
Steven,
I am writing to thank you for all the time and effort you
have been giving to Tribeca Partnership. As an organization
that relies on the help of the community, you've been making
my job easy. Thanks to you, one of our clients now has full-time
employment doing maintenance on one of your boats. To watch
someone go from being homeless to achieving full time employment
is an amazing process for everyone involved.
Your offers of how to be fully involved in this process
- everything from employment to paying for maritime schooling
- have been incredible and extremely appreciated. I hope
to see this pairing turn into a huge success.
I look forward to continuing to work with you in the future.
Thank you again!
Sincerely,
Heather Gay
